My Spankin' New Phone

At last, I was able to get my prize for the Have Cosmo, Will Travel Contest. Eto na po ang proof:

Img_3132Yey, I got a new phone!!! But if you look closely, you'll see Mommy's pic is there already. Well, I guess, I can never own this beauty after all. *frown*

I tried to claim it last week as I was on leave last Friday. The person in charge was also on leave that day. My bad, I didn't call before going to their office.

So last night, I went to the Summit Media office to claim my Nokia 6300. I wasn't able to leave the office earlier as planned but still,  I sneaked out a little earlier than my 5:30 log-out time. Billie, Summit's Marketing Officer, was really kind enough to wait up for me 'til 6 pm.

So, to my ever-trusted Cosmo magazine, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! You really rock! I'm looking forward for more years of togetherness. (Gosh, kelan kaya ako ga-graduate sa Cosmo at mag-move on sa Good Housekeeping or Working Mom??? Hehehe!)

Some side kwento:

(1) MRT Experience

Travelling from my office in Makati to Summit Media's Office in Mandaluyong was a bit hard for me. I'm really not an MRT rider as I do public commute from home to work via private service FX or van (read: colorum transport, hehehe!). So riding the MRT during rush hours was such an experience for me. It actually sucks! Grabe, OA sa dami ng tao. I needed to wait for the second train as the first one wasn't able to accommodate all those tired-from-work-and-excited-to-go-home Makati girls waited patiently in line (or was it, disorganized crowd??? Hehehe!)

I was a bit suprised to see a couple of men waiting at the designated areas for women, children and elderly. Well, they definitely did not look like yuppies from Makati. So, I wasn't sure if they were unaware of the policy or just too plain ignorant of the signs. Or maybe, it was intentional to be in that area. Besides, it would be more fun for them to be sorrounded by women inside the MRT coach. But, would the girls feel the same way? I guess not!

(2) Pioneer to Megamall

It was raining real hard last night, so travelling via public commute was a bit difficult. With my huge office bag on my shoulder and a package from Cosmo, it was really something of an effort for me. But I needed to go to Megamall to pay my internet bill. So, I again travelled from Pioneer to Shaw via bus. Good thing, I was able to hop in a less crowded bus so I got myself seated near the bus door. I thought, "Great! Easy way in and easy way out!" LOLz.

Travelling from Robinsons Pioneer to SM Megamall took me 30 mins. Yeah, you read it right... freakin' 30 minutes! It was a very short distance but due to rain and congested roads, travel time extended that much.

Anyhow, I would rather take that bus trip where I got the best seat than squeezing myself in an MRT coach. I took the long way yet better ride.

(3) Crocs-Convert

I was all soaked when I reached SM Megamall. It was kinda cold so I opted to stroll at some clothes and sandals stores before paying off my internet bill. I opted to buy myself a new sandals as my feet were all wet. Browsing all the stores in my head, I couldn't think of any store that sells Havais flip-flop. Arte noh, papalit lang Havais pa! Hehehe! So, I went to Chocolate but found out that they no longer distribute Havais. Grendha sandals, another Brazilian brand but much more expensive than Havais, are the ony ones on their display stand. I didn't like the current display so I opted to look at other stores.

Crocs was just a few meters away so I checked it out. I've actually been wanting to buy a pair but their styles do not look good on my feet (read: pangit at malapad ang paa ko, hehehe!). But still, I tried to fit some new styles. Then, I finally decided to buy myself a pair. Nahiya na rin kasi ako dun sa salesman, ang dami kong sinukat tapos di naman pala ako bibili. Hehehe!

So, I now own a pair of Crocs sandals.

It's quite expensive but what the heck! That pair really gave me comfort. So, do I say goodbye to my all Havais? I don't think so. Ang dami kaya nun! Sayang naman sila! I may not be able to buy myself another pair of Crocs sandals but I can say, "Yes, I'm a Crocs-convert!"

In fairness, ang mahal maulanan ah! Hehehe!
